REPRESENTATIVE PROJECTS

  • 30th Street Redevelopment, Philadelphia, PA
$263 million redevelopment of the historic 1,000,000 square feet 30th Street Main Post Office into the new regional
campus of the Internal Revenue Service. As Development Manager for Keating Development Company, Lisa coordinated
the design and construction management team to ensure the Owner (Brandywine Realty Trust) received the
best value (quality) for their investment, and maintained the project schedule and budget to meet or exceed project
goals. She was responsible for managing the LEED certification process, tracking and facilitating the LEED tasks
required of the design, construction, and owner team. Lisa was in charge of the LEED documentation. The project
documentation surpassed the Owner’s project requirement for LEED certification by earning USGBC approval of
Silver Certification. In addition to the A/E contract, Lisa managed all of the consultant contracts including security,
surveying, commissioning, air monitoring, environmental, geotechnical, historical, landscape architecture, two testing
and inspection agencies, civil and site related structural engineering services. The renovation and restoration of the
historic 30th Street Post Office Building demanded a complicated project stakeholder structure. Lisa lead the submission,
integration, and permit approval process with the City agencies, PennDOT, PECO, and Amtrak.
  • Albert M. Greenfield School, Philadelphia, PA
Lisa has been the Co-Chair since 2006 of the Greening Greenfield project. Greenfield School is an urban, public K-8
school. Proving that schools can be environmentally-friendly, can provide healthy places to learn and play, and can
take an active role in community improvement, this project has transformed the exterior of the school property from
a sparsely landscaped asphalt yard to a vibrant green space designed to exemplify ecological stewardship. Lisa oversaw
the planning and fund raising for the project, coordinated the design team and the construction company in the
implementation of the plans, and has supported teacher training and curriculum enrichment; making use of the storm
water management improvements (BMPs), indigenous landscaping, recycled and salvaged materials, and solar panel
installation as academic resources encouraging hands-on environmental learning and engagement.
  • Sustainable Design Projects
Prior to joining Keating Development Company, Lisa lead A K Architecture, LLC (AKA) in the design and construction
administration of environmentally sustainable exterior public spaces, multi-use community facilities, early childhood
education centers, and affordable housing in Philadelphia.

Lisa was the AKA Principal-in-Charge of Lloyd Hall, the public recreation and community center on Boathouse Row
in Fairmount Park. Other notable AKA projects which Lisa was Principal-in-Charge of include the Calcutta House
III AIDS Hospice, Columbus Square Recreation Center, Woolston Family Center, Chinatown Community Center,
Philadelphia Parent Child Center, Society Hill Child Care, Wilmot Meadow and Cloud Street Affordable Homes for
the Frankford Community Development Corporation. Lisa also produced a feasibility study for the Schuylkill River
Development Council for a new community water sports center on the Schuylkill River in Center City Philadelphia.

Before working with AKA, Lisa was the project architect for GBQC Architects of Penn State’s Materials Research Lab
in the Penn State Conference Center and Research Park Development, and Project Architect of the University City
Science Center Parking Garage Facility affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania.
  • International Design Work
Lisa was awarded, through a national competitive selection process, a working fellowship by the Henry R. Luce
Foundation to work as a designer with the Royal Thai Architects in Bangkok, Thailand. She produced construction
documents for the restoration of historic temples and palaces, using traditional Thai building crafts. She also designed
craftsman housing for a fine arts university in west central Thailand, and a new regional museum.
