EXPERIENCE SUMMARY
PROFESSIONAL
Mr. Price is the Vice President of the Energy & Sustainability Division of Keating Environmental. He is a LEED Accredited professional electrical engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the electrical field. He successfully manages a multidisciplinary staff of engineers and designers to perform large complicated designs on schedule and on budget, while maintaining close interaction with the architect and end client. He is also actively involved in Green Building Design, and headed the Solar Design group for a major engineering firm. His design expertise ranges from low to medium voltage distribution, as well as low voltage systems such as fire alarm, security, closed-circuit television (CCTV), paging and automation systems. He has led designs for approximately 80 MW of photovoltaic installations.
REPRESENTATIVE PROJECTS
- Greenhouse Gas Inventory, Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA
Prepared a Greenhouse Gas Inventory for Drexel University’s downtown campus. The Greenhouse Gas Inventory was
prepared using the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and includes Scope 1 Direct Emissions and Scope 2 Indirect Emissions.
- Retro-commissioning, GSA – Courthouses. MA, VT, ME
Retro-commissioning of 4 federal courthouses to achieve maximum energy efficiency. Energy measures identified
included control system upgrades, lighting and lighting control retrofits, renewable energy systems and HVAC
upgrades.
- Energy Audit and Green Building Engineering Services, Rockaway Corporate Center, Rockaway, NJ
Services included energy auditing, Energy Star rating, water usage profiling and sustainability practice evaluation.
Review and recommendation of bids for energy conservation measures.
- Energy Star Audit, Council Rock School District, Newtown, PA
Energy Star audits for three elementary schools in Council Rock School District. Services included review and
documentation of lighting and HVAC usage for submission to the EPA.
- Energy Modeling, Distribution Warehouse, Bethlehem, PA
LEED Energy Modeling for various construction and equipment options using life cycle cost analysis.
- Delaware River Port Authority, Philadelphia, PA
Prepared Alternative Fuel Study to provide recommendations for conversion of their fleet to alternative fuels. Included
technology reviews, estimated pricing and financial evaluation.
- Carbon Neutrality Study/Energy Audit, Rider University, Lawrenceville, NJ
Co-authored the Carbon Neutrality Study for Rider University. Rider University is planning to be carbon neutral
by 2050 and this study documented the necessary technical and financial requirements to achieve this goal. Verified the Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 Emissions Inventory prepared by the University and prepared the technical
and financial aspects of the Carbon Neutrality Plan.
- Solar Power Design, Anthem Development, Milton, DE
Designed a 20 MW direct-to-grid, ground-mount solar power production facility in Milton, DE. The project involved
DC and AC design, including circuiting for modules, arrays, and interconnection to the utility grid at 69
KV. This project involved close interaction with PJM Interconnection.
- Solar Power Design, Confidential Client, Philadelphia, PA
Design of a solar and wind installation, and coordinated with a 6 MW cogeneration plant. The project involved
managing electrical and structural design, as well as overall coordination of the interconnection application for
connection to the utility grid.
- Solar Power Design, Deptford, NJ
Design for a 5 MW solar power production facility for a development project in Deptford, NJ. The project involved
DC and AC design, including circuiting for modules, arrays, and connection to the utility grid, including
close interaction with PSE&G and PJM.
- Solar Power Design, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, Manchester, NH
Conceptual design for a 500 KW solar power production facility on the top deck of a parking garage at Manchester-
Boston Regional Airport in Manchester, NH. The project involved DC and AC design, including circuiting for
modules, arrays, and connection to the Airport electrical distribution system.
- Solar Power Design, Camden County Municipal Authority, Camden, NJ
Design for a 2 MW solar power production facility for CCMUA Wastewater Treatment Plant in Camden, NJ. The
project involved DC and AC design, including circuiting for modules, arrays, and connection to the Authority’s
electrical distribution system. The arrays were installed on racks which were mounted above the wastewater treatment
tanks.
- South Jersey Federal Credit Union, Deptford, NJ
Led MEP design for a LEED-Silver 2-story, 50,000 SF building which houses the headquarters for SJFCU. Design
included energy modeling, daylight harvesting, low-flow toilets, and other resource conserving design components.
- Perimeter Security Design, Dulles International Airport, Washington, D.C.
As Project Manager and Senior Electrical Engineer, designed perimeter security at Dulles International Airport.
Design included CCTV installation, communications infrastructure, power feeds, and campus building distribution
for both communications and power.
