Our projects benefit from our employees’ application of conventional and innovative investigation methods and treatment technologies. Note: We never use a technology experimentally on a client’s project. KEM is constantly evaluating both well-known and widely used technologies and newer techniques. We will apply only the most appropriate, cost-effective and proven technology to address a given environmental issue.
Innovative technologies we have utilized include: soil gas in lieu of costly laboratory analyses; field test-kits for rapid screening of contaminants; geophysical techniques, including ground penetrating radar surveys for identification of subsurface tanks and similar items; remediation methods incorporating natural attenuation, enhanced bioremediation, soil venting and sparging; X-ray fluorescence to evaluate for lead-based painted surfaces, and others.
