About KEM Partners
KEM Partners, Inc. is a certified woman-owned (WBE), full service environmental management, engineering, consulting, construction management and remedial action services firm that has been in business for over twenty years. Headquartered in Exton, PA, the company is also focused on environmental sustainability, renewable energy, recycling and other “green” concepts. Formerly known as “Keating Environmental Management, Inc.”, the company changed its name in 2009, as the company’s experience and business focus have expanded significantly beyond that of a conventional environmental services company. Now doing business as Keating Partners, Inc., the firm and its personnel have the education, experience and technical expertise to provide all of the services necessary to complete complex environmental consulting, construction, remedial action, and “green” building projects in both a cost-effective and professional manner.
KEM Partners (KEM) is recognized as a sophisticated provider of services to high profile corporate and public clients on projects that have high visibility within their own organizations, as well as with the public and the regulating authorities. A significant percentage of KEM’s assignments involve working with industry, the financial community, real estate developers and builders, corporate counsel, private law firms, universities, religious institutions, and public entities such as school districts and government bodies. Our personnel have provided expert witness testimony, developed reports in support of litigation, and coordinated and conducted presentations at “public meetings” as well as to local, state and federal regulatory authorities. KEM is also a special consultant to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for PCB remediation issues. Approximately 80% of the services provided by KEM are to clients whom we have worked with on previous assignments. This high degree of repeat service is due to the responsive, quality services which we provide in a timely and cost-effective manner.
The KEM workforce has significant experience in dealing with every major environmental issue and environmental regulatory program. This experience includes the performance of Phase I and Phase II site assessments, detailed site investigations and compliance audits, due diligence, remedial design and site remediation, interface with regulatory authorities and submission of government deliverables, economic development, and the redevelopment of contaminated real estate. KEM personnel also have significant experience with the following environmental regulatory programs: Superfund; RCRA; asbestos; lead-based paint; PCBs; water quality; pesticides; safe drinking water; indoor air quality; criminal enforcement; and underground and above ground storage tanks. In addition, the company has several US Green Building Council “LEED” AP’s who specialize in “green” building, energy, and sustainability issues. Our employees hold all relevant individual licenses and certifications necessary to perform the above described work, and KEM is certified by the PA Department of Environmental Protection and the NJ Department of Environmental Protection for services associated with regulated underground storage tanks.
KEM personnel are recognized experts in site assessments and subsurface investigations, soil and groundwater remediation, PCB compliance, and asbestos and lead-based paint assessments and abatement. Our employees are often asked to be on the faculty of environmental educational seminars that are sponsored by organizations from both the public and private sectors. Topics have included underground storage tank regulation, site assessments and remediation, Brownfields, Superfund, transformer risk management, and compliance auditing.
